Terms of Service

Welcome to INKterest. By downloading or using the INKterest app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What INKterest does

INKterest lets you preview tattoo designs on your body using your camera and photos, including a 2D live preview and a 3D depth-aware preview. Previews are visual simulations to help you explore ideas. They are not a guarantee of how a real tattoo will look once applied; final results depend on your artist, your skin, and many other factors.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

3. Free use and INKterest Pro

The App includes a limited number of free try-ons. To continue beyond the free allowance, you can purchase INKterest Pro, available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple; refund requests are subject to Apple's policies.

4. Your content and third-party images

You are responsible for the tattoo images and photos you bring into the App. Tattoo designs and other images you load may be protected by copyright owned by their creators or third parties (including images viewed via Pinterest). INKterest displays these images on your device for personal preview only and claims no ownership of them. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any image you load, and for your use of any resulting preview.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including: violating others' intellectual-property or privacy rights; using the App for unlawful purposes; or attempting to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or circumvent the App's protections or purchase mechanisms.

6. Intellectual property

The App itself, including its software, design, branding, and the "INKterest" name and logo, is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

7. Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party services, including Apple (App Store, in-app purchases), RevenueCat (purchase management), and Pinterest (in-app browsing). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Pinterest.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that previews will be accurate or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, INKterest and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make (including getting a tattoo) based on previews generated by the App.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: your country/region], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
